To rectify all faults listed in the Electrical Installation Conditions Report carried out in May 2025 (DOWNLOAD EICR Observations).
This includes running new submains to all distribution boards, making them steel wire armoured, so there is no requirement for RCD protection on the cables.
Also consolidating the distribution boards in the mains areas into one distribution board with isolators where necessary.
The work is required to be carried out between the period 17th November 2025 and 31st January 2026 and you will need to confirm that you are able to carry out the work during this period. Because the public hall is used regularly, contractors will need to have some flexibility to work around users, to minimise disruption as much as possible. This would be discussed with the appointed contractor before the work starts.

As part of the work, the Council would like the contractor to supply an electrical diagram of the building once the work has been completed.
The appointed contractor will need to supply Public Liability Insurance details and a Risk Assessment prior to starting the work.
